Community Engagement & Events Coordinator

Nayan Jones is a dynamic professional with a deep-rooted passion for sports management and community engagement. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University, where she actively contributed to the university’s athletic operations from 2021 to 2024. During her time at Texas Tech, Nayan worked in the Athletic Ticketing office, ensuring smooth ticketing processes for fans and contributing to the success of large-scale athletic events.

Additionally, she served as a Football Equipment Manager, managing the logistics and equipment needs of the football program while gaining firsthand experience in the behind-the-scenes operations of collegiate sports. After completing her studies, Nayan transitioned into a role with the Lubbock Matadors SC, an NPSL team, where she began as an intern. In this position, she quickly demonstrated a talent for creating meaningful partnerships and driving community engagement, playing a key role in building relationships between the team and the local community.

Her hard work and commitment led to a promotion to the full-time position of Community Outreach and Event Coordinator. In this role, Nayan oversees the team’s outreach initiatives, collaborates with local businesses on sponsorships, coordinates fan engagement activities, and helps manage team merchandising. With a passion for fostering connections and a drive for growth, Nayan is dedicated to using her skills and experience to bring people together through sports and enhance the local sports culture in Lubbock.
